Parenting & Learning Tips

💡

March 2026 — Learning Tip

Phonics at home: Spend just 10 minutes daily reading with your child. Point to words. Ask "what sound does this start with?"

💡

Supporting Maths at Home

Use everyday objects — count stairs, fruits, plates. Make maths part of daily life and watch confidence grow.

💡

Building a Reading Habit

Set a consistent reading time — same time every day. Even 15 minutes nightly transforms literacy over a term.

💡

Homework Without Tears

Create a dedicated homework space with no TV. Routine beats pressure — same time, same place, every day.

💡

Encouraging Character

Celebrate effort, not just results. Ask your child daily: "What was kind about your day?" Character is built in small moments.

💡

Screen Time Balance

For every hour of screen time, match it with an hour of reading or outdoor play. Balance is the secret to healthy development.

Our History

Built on a Conviction

Ever Champion School was founded on the conviction that Nigerian children deserve a world-class education that never compromises on structure, literacy, or values.

From its earliest days, we established a culture of discipline, deep learning, and warmth — proving that rigour and care are not opposites but essential partners in true education.

Today we serve families across Lagos from our campus at 16, Common Wealth Avenue, Ilupeju — a clean, secure, purposefully structured environment where every child is known by name.

Our Leadership

Leadership Shaped by Purpose

The Director of Studies brings deep expertise in early childhood education, literacy instruction, and structured learning. With specialisation in both British and Nigerian curricula, she has shaped the school's identity around a clear philosophy: every child can achieve excellence when the environment is structured, warm, and purposeful.

Her approach is firm but nurturing — corrections delivered with care build confidence rather than fear, and the foundation laid in the earliest years determines the entire trajectory of a child's life.

Under her leadership, Ever Champion School has developed its distinctive culture: strong literacy from toddler level, structured handwriting, rich extracurricular life spanning sports, arts, music, technology — and a correction culture that is never harsh but always consistent.

Core Values

What We Stand For

Excellence

We hold every pupil to the highest standards — academically, morally, and personally. Excellence is not occasional here; it is our daily expectation.

Uniqueness

Every child is fearfully and wonderfully made. We celebrate individual differences and build on each child's strengths with deliberate intention.

Character First

Academic achievement without integrity is incomplete. We cultivate honesty, respect, and responsibility as intentionally as we teach literacy.

World-Class Standards

Our vision is global. We prepare children not just for Nigerian classrooms but for a world stage — instilling confidence and skills to thrive anywhere.

Nurturing Discipline

Discipline and warmth work together. Our structured environment is firm but caring — every correction is in service of growth, never fear.

Lifelong Growth

We instil a love of discovery and the resilience to keep improving. Learning at Ever Champion is a lifelong adventure that starts here.

Academic Excellence

✍️

Nelson Handwriting Programme

Progressive approach from preschool through primary. Consistent letter formation, proper pencil grip, and the discipline of neat, legible writing — treated as a serious academic discipline.
